General Information
Sport Horse MARKETPLACE is an all-advertising flyer, printed in full color on glossy paper with excellent print quality: 300 dpi. It is 8.5" x 11" finished size, stitched (stapled).
Frequency. Sport Horse MARKETPLACE is quarterly, mailed the first week of January, April, July, and October.
Circulation. Each issue of
Sport Horse MARKETPLACE reaches between 13,500 and 17,500 people, with our total annual distribution between 70,000 and 90,000. Pass-along distribution increases this number to well over 200,000.
Sport Horse MARKETPLACE is sent free by direct mail to a well-targeted audience of sport horse enthusiasts. It is also distributed throughout the year at many sport horse events.
All ads must be pre-paid by check or credit card (Visa or Mastercard).
Please include your name, mailing address, phone, and email when you submit your ad. Include your billing address and 3-digit security code as well if paying by credit card.
All ads in the print publication will also be posted on this website (See
Current Issue page) at no extra charge.

Deadlines. To reserve a space for your ad, please contact us by the ad reservation deadline (see Ad Deadlines). If you miss the deadline, call anyway - we might be able to squeeze you in.

Image Resolution: photos should be 300 dpi; line art should be 1200 dpi (600 dpi minimum) to look good. Lower resolution will print, but it will not be as sharp.

Dot gain on press: 5%
File Type: If you would like to submit a finished ad, we prefer either a PRESS resolution PDF or an Adobe InDesign file with graphics and fonts included (PostScript Type 1 or OpenType fonts only). We will accept Adobe Illustrator document or eps file, or Adobe Photoshop eps or high-resolution TIFF (see photo resolution above). Final ad should be in CMYK, and photos should be converted to CMYK before including in ad. For more information, please see

Media: We prefer email, and can also accept CDs by mail. We can accept ads sent by FTP, and prefer that for very large files; we have very successfully used an FTP transfer site called
YouSendIt.com, which is free and has very clear directions. If you use YouSendIt, please send a separate email to let us know to expect a file.
Photos: If you are using professionally taken photos for your ad, you MUST include written permission from the photographer to use the photo for advertising. For more information about photo formats, please see
